REFEREES

Tualatin Youth Basketball Association (TYBA) is committed to offering non-players an opportunity to get involved in youth basketball. If you are in high school and looking to earn money by helping the youth of Tualatin and our surrounding neighbors have an amazing basketball experience, then you should register as one of our Youth Rec Referees!

Games and Pay-
All games are on Saturdays and are held at a local Tualatin school. Our rates are on a "per game" basis. so the more games you can officiate, the more you earn. Schedules are flexible, but typically we would need your commitment for at least 2 or 3 games a Saturday.

Training-
Whether you have prior experience, or this is your first year officiating, TYBA offers training for all our refs. We'll bring in a professional ref to get you ready to take charge of the court and keep the games fair, fun, and a positive experience for all.

Sportsmanship and Safety-
The rules of good sportsmanship extend to all players, coaches, and supporters. TYBA has adopted a zero-tolerance policy of verbal or physical abuse. The referee, coach, or TYBA Board member(s) monitoring the game may eject any player, coach, or spectator not complying with this policy at any time. Should an incident and/or altercation occur, please inform our TYBA Board of Directors (specifically the Your Rec VP or the Youth Rec Referee VP).
